Appalachia

We have a geographically diverse position in the Appalachia region spanning 50 counties with operations focused on the Marcellus shale and shallow conventional targets. Our acreage position consists of 281,000 net acres with approximately 149,000 of these net acres prospective for the Marcellus shale and is 80% held-by-production.

Targeted formations in the region include the Marcellus shale and conventional shallow horizons at depths ranging from 1,500 to more than 9,000 feet. Additional targets include the Utica and Upper Devonian formations.

We have an extensive inventory of undeveloped locations, prospective for the Marcellus shale, but have suspended our development activity in this region in response to lower natural gas prices and depressed regional basis differentials. Our significant held-by-production acreage position in the region allows us to control the pace and timing of our development activities.

Total net production from the region for the quarter ending June 30, 2015 was 47 Mmcfe per day from 5,709 conventional and 126 Marcellus wells.
